Caravan and Motorhome Club, or Camping and Caravan club?

We are just getting our first campervan,. (was bought just before lockdown and so we had to wait.. but we can pick it up very soon now they say !)....

Which is the best club best to join ? Caravan and Motorhome Club, or Camping and Caravan club? Or should we join both?
Any advantage to either ?

I used to be a member of the Camping Club (when it was just that) but that was years ago ! And if you are a member of only one can you use the sites of the other? (I'm sure it used to be so that you could , but its been a while.)

We will want to use the van in the UK and abroad

We've been members of CAMC for a couple of years and haven't made much use of the club offers so we've let membership lapse.

If you plan on staying on club sites both then clubs have large numbers of sites on their lists. If you don't plan on using club sites the benefits are less obvious.

We have been members of both at the same time. Used Camping club less but use CAMC all the time. Particularly like that you can book well in advance, no deposits and dead easy to move or cancel bookings. Sites are of a high standard and caravan/Motorhome focussed, but we do also combine with private sites as well which are a high standard.

What we did find when we did use the Camping club was it was much more tent focused and there were more late night drinking get togethers which could get a little noisy at times. I think probably because we go during school holidays so prob not such an issue otherwise
