Fire pit recommendations / advice

We 'camped' out in our garden this weekend and decided that this years must have purchase is a decent fire pit. Any recommendations?? Any advice?? Assuming we need one with collapsible legs at least - ideally happy to spend a bit more on a decent one.

I dunno. Ours was £12. It's a metal bowl separate from its legs. We've had our moneys worth and some out of it. We bought a cheap one to see if we'd use it/like it. We do!

Ours was £25 from Aldi and looks like this
www.amazon.co.uk/Steel-Portable-Fire-Firepit-Folding/dp/B007CNBBQ0?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

It has lasted at least 5 years, is light to carry, the legs fold in so easy to pack in the car. It has done lots of camping trips and many summer garden evenings.

For a permanent one in the garden I would like something handsome and solid, but this is good for carrying about.

I've got one similar to @YinMnBlue - does the job nicely and this will be its second summer. We use it for camping and for the garden.

We also just got a cheap one from Amazon, it's lasted several years and works well. We do have plans to make one on a permanent site in the garden using a washing machine drum which is meant to be great.

Don't know about collapsable legs but the static ones are great. Take a look at www.justfirepits.co.uk they have lots of information on which ones to buy

I'm also thinking of buying one. I like to make one special camping purchase per year. I am thinking that it might be fun to have one that also has the option of a BBQ plate. Folding legs and a carry bag look exciting too.

We've got the amazon one as we've got a small garden and I wanted something we could put away. It's worked well for us. We've mostly used it as a BBQ over the summer but will probably use it as a firepit more over the winter. We've not taken it camping as the places we go to either don't allow campfires or let us have campfires directly on the ground.

We bought this - I got one from Wish for £10. I wasn't expecting much as it was so cheap but it's been bloody brilliant.
