Please can I here any recommendations for family tents - looking for something for one adult, two children with a bit of space for storage/ when it rains. Something stormproof for the bad weather! Thank you.

we've got a Berghaus Air 4 and it's ace! easy enough for one adult to put up (peg it out and then blow up the beans), it's got a decent amount of space, and it stayed up in a force 8 gale one night (though DH and I weren't convinced it would at the time)

Decathlon range are good and reasonably priced. Especially if you are a first time camper and don't want to spend loads.

Most tents are stormproof if you pitch it properly OP Smile

We have had Coleman and Vango tents and both makes have been fantastic. As someone else mentioned, you need to pitch it properly and dry and store it properly too. We love our coleman Galileo, but its probably been replaced by a newer version now. A lot of the bigger tents have an option to add an extension and I would recommend these especially for longer holidays. Our Galileo is a 5 man and there are just two of us, we also use the extension and it is absolute luxury and lots of space for a wardrobe, camp kitchen, cool box, proper camp beds, table and chairs and a washing up stand. More space = less arguments :)
