I am committing the cardinal sin of camping at a Haven site next week

I do personally prefer more rustic sites but am going as they are doing some Spiderman show that my DS wants to see and it will make it easier for us with our baby (went and stayed at one near Poole at Easter and the kids did love it).

not sure what you are after but here are a few, haven't stayed at any of these myself tho, tend to go St Austell way (live in Cornwall)

MegaLegs · 10/08/2007 20:52

We are off to Polzeath tomorrow so will let you know next week.

the westher forecast is a bit terrifying though - severe gales and heavy rain due to hit tues - that'll be fun in a tent on a cliff top!!

This campsite is wonderful - near Bodmin, lovely location and the people who run it are lovely too.

We've just come back from 2 weeks at this one:

Bigger campsite with more facilities and probably better location for you.

Hia,
I can highley recommend Little Trevarrack. It is a fanastic site which has a bus you can catch into town- better than parking! and Carbis bay is a short walk down from the site. You can also follow the costal pathe to St.Ives :0)

Just come back from mother ivey's bay camp site, with a 6 yr old, 4 yr old and 7 month baby! been there a few times and love it - near loads of good places and has its own beach

Wooda Park nr Bude Off here next week, will do a review on my return.

marymoocow · 27/08/2007 20:06

we've just come back from 2 weeks at Wooda, and it was fabulous, even in the gale force winds and floods that affected some people.
Some of the pitches are a bit squashed, but we were in one of 3 near to the entrance. Facilities fantastic with loads of outdoor things for the dc to do.
Would definitly go back again, but possibly stay in the tent overflow field, as this had loads of space, and we did notice that there was ehu in there as well.

Have a fantastic time
