Myself DH and DDs are off on holiday to River dart later this month and was hoping you lovely mumsnetters had some ideas for days out/things to do! Thanks in advance 😊

How old are your DD and what do you enjoy doing?

Good morning thanks for replying! They are 3 and 18 months. We are very outdoorsy and like walking/ exploring. Anything with trains is always good (we've been to Devon railway a few times) trying to avoid the beach this time but maybe cute little town or villages for a wander and shop for me!

Woodlands Family Theme Park
Pennywell Farm is home to the world famous Pennywell Miniature Pigs! These little cuties would be well worth the price of admission all on their own. Prepare for a busy day as there’s a different animal activity, show or display every half hour.

Burgh Island/Bigbury on Sea is nice - about half an hour drive to the South West of Dartmouth.

The island is linked at low tide and the beach is nice and sandy on both sides of the bay.

The South Devon railway from Totnes runs through some lovely countryside as does the steam railway running South from Paignton.
