Camping around the UK?

So I've recently got back from a lodge trip with my girlfriend's in South Wales, whilst we were there we done a few scenic drives, visited some waterfalls and castles etc, and I was absolutely in awe with the beauty of South Wales!

It got me thinking, I'm sure there are SO many more beautiful places over the UK that I haven't seen!

So now I've bought a tent, all the camping equipment and had the car serviced.. there a week left for the summer holidays and now I want to pack up and go visit some more beautiful places over the UK!

Where's best to go?

Any hidden gems youve found?

Recommendations?

(I'm going with 6 yr old DD and my partner)

Thankyou!!

beryl's campsite in south devon is lovely, near beaches and lots of lovely walks x

Hooks House Farm in Robin Hood's Bay is one of the nicest settings for a campsite that I've ever been to.

Not camping but currently in Devon. It's simply beautiful. Brixham. Would really recommend it. There's a secret beach.

This is the beach from an equally secret coastal walk

Catgill near Bolton Abbey is lovely. We like the campsites in 'Cool Camping' (also online) as they are smaller sites, more wild.

We’ve been to Catgill this year too after lots of recommendations. I found there were pros and cons. The pros were: great location with lovely views, can hire fire pit, noise stops at half 10 and the hot water doesn’t run out. Cons are very sloped pitches (we had EHU), not enough toilets or showers for size of site (only 4) and there were often queues, the facilities were not very clean at all - have been to sites with much cleaner facilities, the shower cubicles are really small and you have to keep on pressing the button every 20 seconds to keep the water on which is annoying. Overall I found it to be a lovely location, but really that is what you’re paying for. Found it a bit on the expensive side to be honest.
