is great langdale good for kids then?

i thought fisherground looked really good fun for them because of the rafts/fires etc.

was thinking of low wray- i love it there! but small isn't it? am worried about getting a pitch.

you can't book any of these can you? i have a vision of us driving 2 hours and then not being able to get a pitch and driving around aimlessly looking for a site and ending up coming home!!!!=

Hi, went to Fisherground last year with family, great pond for splahing and rafting in (take plenty of changes of clothes), a big rocky area where they like to play, toilets and showers cleaned regularly, ice cream and wood vans come on to site each day. Electic hookups are in short supply and sometimes the smoke from the fires can become too much. But overall a good site - train station at bottom and a good mountain to climb from the campsite. The kids loved it.

brilliant billy! thanks for that! how easy is it to get a pitch?
