Gave away all our camping gear a few years ago and now looking to replace it ASAP as off to a festival next weekend. What is the best option for reasonably priced durable sleep solutions? I have a vendetta against airbeds and won’t get them. Kids will sleep on anything. DH is difficult to please.

for the kids try here, for you and dh try here. they are surprisingly comfortable, and whilst i prefer air beds they do the job and we have used them several times x

If you are lugging stuff to a festival (long walk from car / without car) I would use a single SIM (self inflating mat) each for you and DH, or one of the Decathlon blow up beds that are not made of plastic and have thin tubes of air. They are lightweight and won’t go down like plastic.

For the kids I would get the foil backed foam mats from Decathlon, they do a cheaper one and a slightly thicker one: get the thicker.

Foam mats and SIMS give so much more insulation from the ground than trad air beds.

Beds aimed at anglers/ fisherman are very nice and good if anyone has a bad back and needs more support. You can find them in Go Outdoors
