We currently use a double air bed and a duvet. It's a real fag to lug it around plus a sheet so I'm thinking about getting sleeping bags. We'd want oblong, not mummy-style ones (we have DSs, 6 and 8 so won't be doing any 4 season stuff!). Question- if we buy a double do you get that 'draught down the middle' thing happening? We're both smallish as in 5' 6" apiece but should we get a king size? Or will that just create more gaps for the wind to whistle down? Also as air beds DO get cold at night when we're using a duvet, will a sleeping bag solve that problem as in having padding underneath us? And how small does a double sleeping bag fold down? OR should we get 2 bags that can zip together? But may be collectively more expensive?
