BBC or The weather Channel?
I really can't decide whether we should book a site or not.

I find accuweather to be very good

corblimeycharlie · 02/08/2007 15:19

Oooh Iota, Thanks!
Their weather is even more promising than the weather channel.

The 5 day forecast from the BBC has changed wildly over the past 2 days. We a fairweather campers I'm afraid.

we usually go by the bbc, we are off to somerset on sunday so i hope they are right adn its gonna be sunny!!!

iota · 02/08/2007 15:21

have a good time - we have just come back from 3 fabulously sunny days , camping on the Gower

iota · 02/08/2007 15:23

the accuweather hourly breakdown of the daily weather is really useful as you can get a clearer idea of how much rain/sun there will be

corblimeycharlie · 02/08/2007 15:38

Where did you stay on Gower? We might go there as it's not too far to go home if it starts raining. That Accuweather breakdown is really useful.

we stayed at Hillend at Llangennith.

I don't understand how 2 sites can be so different? Don't they all get their info from the met office or the same source? We are supposed to be going to the lakes camping. BBC and the met site predict heavy rain, just looked at accuweather (thanks for the link) and not a raindrop in site? Don't know what to believe. Just don't want to be camping in heavy rain!

I don't trust the new breed of prancing, manicured, inanely grinning BBC weathermen. Bring back Bill Giles, Michael Fish, Jack Scott and Ian McCaskill. Now.

corblimeycharlie · 02/08/2007 21:47

We are still unbooked.
Will see what tomorrow brings.

(I want to believe accuweather, just like I want to believe I'm a size 10 when I try on in M&S.)

Hurray! UK weather has no rain for the lakes either - thanks for that. Fingers crossed
