Which camping fridge?

Looking to upgrade from a basic coolbox to an electric cooling box / fridge.

From what I've read, the choice is either a powered cool box or a chilling fridge style box. I'd prefer a box which actually cools rather than just maintains temperature.

We are tent campers usually

Can't seem to edit?!

Just wanted to ask what people would recommend! Please. Usually no electric hookup.

We got one from Halfords. Best camping item ever!

I've got that one yellow it's great. Used it whilst camping and now use in the awning of my caravan. Does the job & plenty of space. Does drip water which is not great for cardboard packaging but that is a minor issues as far as i'm concerned.

We have that fridge for 5 of us and it’s great, enough for a long weekend, we have a cool box for the beers though.

Great, thanks. Does it keep stuff cool even when it isn't being powered (eg if we drove and chilled, then unplugged). Is it well insulated?

we normally keep ours plugged in when driving anywhere, the one time we forgot to plug it in it was 30 degrees and a 2 hour drive, everything was still cold.

I got a 3 way (gas/elec) fridge from Gumtree for £40. It's big but keeps things very cold.

3 way camping fridge that runs off gas keeps things I've cold for us!

I've ordered a 3 way fridge which runs off gas.... Fingers crossed it's ok!

It will be fab, main thing is if running off gas it has to be completely level! Ours takes a while to get cold but really does keep things (booze) very cold indeed once it's going
