we are lancashire and it is very heavy rain but here is a weather forecast.

Where are you going? We are langdale regulars.

northender · 26/07/2007 15:23

You beat me to it twinset. The dc and I have just floated home in the car (well almost). Wasn't expecting it at all from watching weather forecast this am. Hope it gets better for you next week

dissle · 26/07/2007 15:25

We came back on Monday after a mixed weekend.
We went to Tarn Howes and set off to Grizedale but the heavans opened and we were almost drowned even with good waterproofs on.

Its not the rain so much when camping, its the mud, it is awful, we lived in our wellies.
Got stuck on the hill at the campsite in the car,in the thick mud, changing out of wet clothes every time you even scramble to the loos as you are wet and cold.

Not pleasant.

Hi Twinset, thought i saw you at the pictures a few weeks ago...(Shrek film)
Your dd has grown so much!

Sorry Twinset, its Donbean!!! not stalker [grin}

It was raining that day as well!!

Wasnt till you had passed when i thought "i know that lady, but where do i know her from??"
realised 10 mins later.

twinsetandpearls · 26/07/2007 15:41

Thought it maybe because of the D connection.

It rains a lot here doesn't it. dd and I had to stop at the library on the way home from school this afternoon as we were drenched afterwalking five minutes.

I didn't realise you were a camper as well.

MrsMarvel · 26/07/2007 15:43

Right that's it we're going abroad. I need some sun. Now.

twinsetandpearls · 26/07/2007 15:47

As we were walking home in the rain dd asked if it will be a normal summer in Florida!

MrsMarvel · 26/07/2007 16:01

lol! It's **ing down here too (London).

dissle · 26/07/2007 19:59

Yep, camping or caravaning we love it. Try to go as often as poss.

Love love love the lakes.

dissle · 26/07/2007 20:00

Are you off to Florida then twinset?
We went in March, it was FABULOUS absolutely brilliant and ds really enjoyed it too although the flights were horrific.

flossie64 · 26/07/2007 20:03

dissle -we are off to Flookburgh in a couple of weeks aswell ,but we are staying on the parachute drop zone about 1/2 a mile away from the Haven site.We are praying for dry weather.

twinsetandpearls · 27/07/2007 08:36

Yes we go next Sunday, am dreading the flight. Have had to go with monarch as there are five of us going and the savings in comparison to virgin have paid for the villas.

I am dreading it though, have paid for extra legroom and am hoing to upgrade when we check in.
