Hi all, I'm off camping with my other half, 5yo and 10 month old soon.

We need to buy ALL the camping equipment and I'm looking for advice.

I'm going to take the travel cot for my 10 month old but wondered if anyone had any recommendations for tent make and models to fit the travel cot and the rest of us in?

Thanks in advance.

Go to somewhere like GoOutdoors where you can see erected tents and get an idea of sizes and specs. Then Google different tents.

Depends on your budget. I would recommend a 6 man sized tent. Then you need to decide if you want air beam or poled. (Latter cheaper but longer to put up) Then decide what are your priorities. Ours were decent sized lounge area for rainy days and a porch with a non sloping front for cooking in. Also good HH (waterproof rating) and darker bedrooms. We went for an outdoor revolution Airedale 6. Hi-gear are budget tents if you're looking to spend little. Coleman are good middling ones. Outwell, Vango and Outdoor Revolution are very good brands. Look at Go Outdoors for cheaper, Winfields for better range. Check out ebay too as often cheaper to get a lightly used better brand on there, but make sure you see it pitched before you by to check for mould. Lots of second hand Vango tents out there.

Littlelife Arc is a good travel cot for tents btw. Takes less space in the car!
