Just googled it - it looks wonderful! Might consider it - but we'll have already had three full weeks and one weekend camping this summer - so we may leave it til next year!

looks fun..I have told some random people on another forum that i will spend the weekend at one of their houses or i might have considered it

TooTicky · 22/07/2007 15:44

I've never been to anything like this before so I'm apprehensive, especially as it would be me and 4 dcs...but it could be fun.

I went to Lounge on the Farm with my two. You just need to have very low expectations! And plenty of winne, good books and torh batteries in case they crash out earl and you're tied to the tent. I have to tell you, there are worse ways of spending an evening than in a comfortable sleeping bag with a good book, a bottle of merlot, tired contented children sleeping close by and very very loud music in the bcakground.

I really, really fancy going to that. I know dh would not be interested so I'd be taking the 3 dses on my own.
Dh is upstairs at the mo but I can imagine the snort of "hippie" he'd emit shortly before he declined joining me. He claims to be allergic to canvas, lack of soap and anything remotely organic.

Yurtgirl · 23/07/2007 00:14

I would love to go to that!!!! It sounds fab!

TooTicky · 23/07/2007 00:16

Oh, my dp is the same. He'd be so grumpy and cynical we'd have a much better time without him. So, shall I?

And I really don't mind quiet evenings in. Not that my dcs ever actually go to sleep early

Yes, go for it. I've just checked my calendar and ds2 has a birthday party that weekend that I've already agreed he can go to, else I'd be VERY tempted to join you.

Ah, shame.

do we have ANY idea how late the music will go on?

am tempted but loud late music + kids does = hell IMO.
