Caravan advice

After using a friends tourer sited at a lovely site this weekend, we’ve decided to take the plunge and buy one.We plan to site it on a seasonal pitch rather than take it back and forth.

We are looking for a two berth as there’s only me and DH (DS is 20 and it’s definitely not his bag) , plus two smallish dogs.Any recommendations as to a good caravan ( probably a newish second hand ) and any tips for getting lit together/setting up please?

My DPs bought a 2 berth swift a few years ago and loved it. Apparently if you buy at 2 years they've done a lot of depreciation but are still have the facilities you want. My best tip is to read up on the insulation and heating before buying.

Cheapest isn't always the best with caravans if the have no insulation and you're going to freeze Smile

I luffs my Lunar Stellar. Has the kitchen at the end so no sleeping near cooky bits. If you are planning to site it though, I would go for a fixed bed as I think that will give you more options.

😅 we took the plunge today and bought a brand new 4 berth Swift. There was a good discount off RRP and we got a bit more off. Fixed bed.Its lovely! A lot more than original budget but we plan to use it lots, sited at first until we get the hang of it. We’ve been really restricted on holidays due to our dogs ( who we love but still...) so I’m really looking forward to using it. Excited. Thanks for advice .

Yay! Enjoy. I never, in a million years, thought I would be a caravan owner but I loves it.
