Uncloseable windows in family tent

Hi everyone

Just wondering if anyone else has a tent with large unsealable windows in it? We tried our Outwell Casagrande for the first time this weekend and found the bedrooms a bit draughty at night... Admittedly we didn't peg the skirt down very well so are hoping that will cut out cold draughts next time but I thought it was a strange design concept... Anyone else got experience of this?

Thanking you in advance!

I think you can just unpeg the guyrope and shut them - thats what we did in our Outwell Vermont l when it was cold.

Thanks Dusty but the windows are mesh and run along the whole of the inside of the bedrooms, in the inner tent. There are a couple of windows in the outer tent that are close-able with guy ropes and so on, but the inner ones aren't... Almost tempted to try and sew them up or something, but that would be quite a job...

Oh I see. i wouldn't sew them up as they will be lovely when the weather is warmer. Perhaps you can sew a flap on them that you can tie up when its warm and let down when its cold.

Get some velcro tape and make removable covers that way?
