Hi - did anyone manage to get yesterdays and todays word from the Sun???

Would be grateful if you would print them Promised the little one a holiday and forgot the paper!!!

Oblomov · 15/07/2007 21:29

Chippy, We went for Devon and Cournwall in the end - ha ha, not spain.
We tried for the 10/17 & 24 of sept.
Rushed out on sat morning, got my final token and posted it off.
Hope I get something. I am sure I will, right ? [hope emotion]

ChudleyMintonCanons · 16/07/2007 07:42

fingers crossed for you Oblomov. If you do get something, then you might get a priority booking form next time, and be able to book exactly what you want.

JK look on moneysavingexpert for the codes, they are sure to have them.

Oblomov · 16/07/2007 07:46

Chippy, I want to be a "priority".
Not one of the , don't stand a chance of getting anywhere other than the slums of.. on the weekend that no one else wants to go.
Are you all booked now. Where did you choose ?

ChudleyMintonCanons · 16/07/2007 08:17

Camber Sands (Park Resorts) for a weekend in September - we are taking MIL and her husband for a little break.
We have endured weekends in early and late season but they are usually fine if you can pay to upgrade to a caravan with central heating.

tjacksonpfc · 16/07/2007 08:31

we are going to the hemsby pontins withthe sun sept 17th 2nd time we have been there with the sun would def recommend sun hols if you have kids

sandyballs · 16/07/2007 12:59

We've just come back from a Sun weekend at Coombe Haven, Hastings. Kids adored it, DH hated it, I was somewhere inbetween .
Very, very crowded and the facilities don't seem large enough for the amount of caravans/chalets.

MagsChook · 12/01/2008 17:32

llynnnn · 07/07/2008 17:53

are the caravans you get the very basic standard ones?

ChippyMinton · 07/07/2008 18:01

yes, but you often get the opportunity to upgrade, at a cost.

Shall we put the codes here for those of use with priority booking forms?

thanks chippy
wondering if i'll be freezing in a basic one in oct??!

ChippyMinton · 07/07/2008 20:53

IME they all have a gas fire in the living area, and maybe electric panel heaters in the bedrooms and bathrooms, but the floors get very cold. Better mobiles have central heating and double glazing. Actually the warmest (albeit not the most attractive)acoommodation was a 'chalet', which was lucky as it snowed when we were there

Litterbug · 07/07/2008 20:59

No way are these for this year?

I thought it was next summer!

DHs nana is saving them for us but i will be 7 months pregnant come septemver and DS is starting nursery!

lilyloo · 07/07/2008 21:01

me too

Nappyzoneneedsanewname · 07/07/2008 21:05

so if you upgraded to say a gold (to get some central heating) how much would the 9.50 holiday really cost at say berwick site....

chocolatespiders · 07/07/2008 21:06

i have been getting paper...

what are the code words for?

gscrym · 07/07/2008 21:07

We're just back from Berwick. Although I've stayed in better caravans, it was still a good weekend. Beautiful beach, lovely town. The museum was fab.
Only downside to me was that you have to go through one of those feckin amusement arcades to get to the swimming pool. I suppose seeing as that makes a bundle of cash, then most sites will be like that.

Also went to Haggerston and Wemyss Bay. Wemyss bay was the quieter site so I preffered that.

llynnnn · 07/07/2008 21:17

we've been to the scarborough haven site and it was exactly the same to get to the pool! by the end of the week my 2 year old was driving me nuts wanting to sit on all the little rides, cant imagine how many arguments it causes with bigger kids!!

lucyellensmum · 08/07/2008 17:18

i only bought my paper today, what do i do??? What are these code things? OOOh i really need a holiday, i couldnt care less when it is

ChippyMinton · 08/07/2008 19:58

codes are for those who have booked before and been sent an on-line booking code.
You need to collect seven different tokens, and the application form which is probably in tomorrow's paper.

OP posts:
lucyellensmum · 08/07/2008 20:04
