Can you recommend a good campsite near London?

Does anybody know of any good campsites for campervans maybe just an hour or two hours drive from London? We are going to take our newly purchased old campervan (aptly named Voyagers, trekkies that we are) out on her Virgin Journey, but dont want to venture too far from home. Any recommendations?

There is a good site in Abbey Wood (see www.oakwood-village.co.uk/CampSite/D/cslevel3.asp?sku=CAMP9361&dept_id=165)

It is not in the most rural of areas, but the site itself is great.

this place is lovely. In the evening there are rabbits everywhere and it is only 2 mins walk to the Thames. If you go over Henley regatta it will be completely full though.

we go here quite a lot as it's near West Wittering beach which is nice - sandy and big. takes about 1 hr 20 mins from Surrey.

The one by the beach looks good. I've bookmarked it for w/e of 7th July.

Thank you! I have bookmarked all of these, think we will go the weekend after the next, we need to fit rear seatbelts in our campervan first!
