Is it a bit like Center Parcs? Who's been? Thinking of going in July. Kids range from 17 to 9 years old.

It is a bit like CP, I would say. We went last year and had a fab time, with kids 8 and 10. The pools and slides were fun, they enjoyed the zip wire, mini golf etc. The only down sides for me were the ridiculously long takeaway queues and the indoor pool was small and crowded but they are extending it for next year.

We were lucky with the weather so the indoor pool being small didn't matter. The wave pool was freezing but great fun and we enjoyed all the slides.

There was a short son et lumiere too, one night, and fireworks another.

I’ve never been to centre parks but have visited Les Ormes several times. It’s massive. There’s loads to do ( go ape style course, pools with slides, horses, crazy golf etc) but there’s also lovely woodland for quiet walks and great cycling around the area. There’s lots of beautiful medieval towns nearby (Dinard, Dinan, Concarneau, Dol de Bretagne) with wonderful markets. The beaches (about 10 miles away) are clean and interesting.
The weather in Brittany can be very variable so we go further south now

@reallyneedmoresleep where do you go? Not sure we can afford abroad next year but always on the lookout for new sites.

@millimat We really like La Garangeoire in the Vendee, also lots of lovely sites on the Ile de Re. Camping Les Peneyrals or Camping Palombiere are great in the Dordogne.
A couple of years ago we went just south of the Alps and took our own tent to the municipal site at St Justin de Die. Best holiday ever according to the kids! There’s a small river along two sides of the campsite which all the kids float down in rubber rings then run across the site and do it all again. Happy days!
