We are looking to upgrade to a trailer tent.

Good bits? Bad bits? Dos and don'ts?

We are on our second trailer tent and it's fantastic - I love sleeping off the ground on a proper bed, but its still sleeping under canvas.

Loved camping in a trailer tent.
Pros
Very easy/quick to put up and then peg out,
Lots of space,
Sleeping off the ground,
Internal storage and built in cooking etc in trailer means more space in the car,
Many have built in hook ups to electric and water (so fridge, lighting, etc) a slightly more luxurious camping experience,
Easy to tow and manoeuvre into place.
Cons
If you’ve never towed a trailer you’ll need to practise ahead of taking it anywhere.
Your car needs to be powerful enough to pull it. ( nothing like getting stuck in traffic on a steep hill and having to pull away with a fully loaded trailer on the back )
Storing it out of season ( ie it’s not going to fit in the attic 😁)

Enjoy!!!!!

We had our tt for 3 years and have just upgraded to a caravan.

We loved the size of it, ours was a Racqlet with 2 king size beds and a massive awning. a lot more comfy than a normal tent. Perfect for the kids and us.

Very easy to tow for our estate car and we stored it on our drive - you can get a frame that enables them to be stored on their side.

We has LED strip lights, electric hook up and a proper beer fridge which made a lot of difference.

Cons were the amount of time to set up (wouldnt bother with 1 night) and the fact it's canvas means it has to be dried well before storing - also limits our camping season.

As I said, Just got a caravan and spent 5 nights in Brighton after Christmas.
