Campsite within 3 hours drive of Calais / Dunkirk?

For the past 3 years we have taken the Cherbourg ferry and stayed in castels campsites nearby.

This year we are hoping to save a bit of cash by going via Calais / Dunkirk but we are struggling to find a campsite. There are no castels or yellohs in that area.

Does anyone have any recommendations please?
We will be taking our caravan, Love pools and water slides and a little shop. Not bothered about much else. Oh, but not keen on lairy Brits and mouthy teenagers! Much prefer a quieter site.

Amy suggestions gratefully received!

Have a look at www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/county.asp?region=France where they have a really good search tool.

Suggestions:
Chateau des Marais - Loire Valley so might be too far.

Chateau Drancourt - Baie de Somme so only an hour from Calais.

Cote de Nacre, Normandy - Really good pool.

La Briquerie - Honfleur - Very French (no UK tour operators).

Good Luck!

There used to be a lovely one in Dinard near a river - sorry not much help!

This is a lovely site. The 'beach' is gorgeous and it's close to Paris too.

For ease, I shared eurocamp info, but we have travelled here independently previously.

Camping Le Champ Neuf is probably most like what you are after. Also worth looking at Dune Fleurie and Camping des Roses.

Worth or without children?

Thank you. Will have a look through the suggestions.
With children. Twins aged 12

La bien assise is a castels and literally the other side of the channel. We always used it as a stop off either en route or one the way home

same with Chateau Du Gandspette, (not castels) abit further away from calais, but also very nice

both with nice pool and restaurant and close to supermarkets etc

If you want a bit further 'down' there is Camping De La Liez, Rue Des Voiliers , Peigney, Champagne Ardenne. Which is on a lake and very close to Langres.

Sorry none of mine have waterslides Blush but they do have pools

La Croix du vieux Pont. 2.5 hours from Calais. Quite large but lots to do. Pools, waterslides and a lake for swimming. Trips to Paris and Disneyland.

La vallee. About 3 hours from Calais. Pools and waterslides and near the beach.

Chateau de drancourt is smaller and quieter but still has pools and slide. About an hour from Calais.
