Recommendations for our next caravan

I'm thinking ahead to next year when I think we will need to replace our existing caravan. Currently we have a 5 berth which has a decent size double at the front for DH and myself. DS sleeps in the smaller double at the back which is across the width of the van, however it's not quite the full width because there is a small cupboard which makes the bed short (I'm 5ft 3 and I'm not able to sleep in it as I touch the side wall with my head and the cupboard with my toes). The bunk above is the full width of the van but the bunk is only really suitable for a small child as the fold out platform is only about 2ft wide. Does anyone know of a caravan that has beds for what is effectively 3 adults? Leaving DS at home is not an option as he's early teens.

We have a Bailey 620-6 at the moment which is great as it has very long front seats that DS (14) and 5'7"uses as a single, while at the back there is a full sized fixed double for DH and I. We are thinking of upgrading at the moment and there are some great 8' wife new caravans out there with plenty of bed options, we are looking at the Elddis 840 and the Swift Sprite Super FB both of which have a dinette that turns into a double, a fixed double bed and a huge front double so loads of options.

Also the caravan show is on in the NEC Birmingham mid October it's a great place to go and see all the caravans from all makers at the same time.

I think if I were you, I'd off go to a caravan show so you can try them all out. We were going to replace ours until we realised there's no better layout than what we currently have while the children are the age they are. They have fixed bunks and although they're not wide, they are long.

When ours got too big for the caravan berths we bought a nice 2 berth and the kids slept in an awning tent Grin
