Nature calling...

aweequestion · 10/06/2007 21:57

Excuse the pun in my username but any suggestions for what to do when nature calls in the middle of the night. I think the site we're staying in is some distance from the loos. I'm not in love with the idea of a nappy bucket, but needs must!
Come on seasoned campers, share your wee tips!

Can't find the potty on Aldi, any links anyone!
Portable urinal things are a tenner.. that's a bit much to spend a penny imo!

I used to go on dd's potty but I had too many near-overflow situations when I sat perched wondering if my feet were going to get wet. So I bought a small bucket (£1.49) in a hardware shop.

SlightlyMadStilton · 10/06/2007 22:11

I do know someone that has used a childs potty before now....most nights

aweequestion · 10/06/2007 22:12

My DH has just suggested a shewee plus empty milk carton! DD not potty trained yet, so that's out. Thanks, folks, thread is making me smile about my wee problem.

Was Aitch wearing the nappy or just used it to pee into?

Actually I've just realised how bloody ridiculous that question is, but I'll not edit it for comedy purposes .

aweequestion · 10/06/2007 22:29

I knew this would get silly, but bring it on! There's another thread about nappies just now, do you think Lidl or Pampers for adult absorbency?

ohh littlelapin, i just had the biggest laugh all night (and i have had a pretty poop evening so thank you!)

I scrolled down on the shewee page and saw the extention hose part and thought it said 15 METRES! I imagined myself lying in sleeping bag with hose rigged up to snake its way out of the tent to gently rest by nearest tree trunk...

Am still laughing.

To the OP, we take a tupperwear type thing - the 'jug' for juice is the best we have decided!
