We've been faffing around this for ages but have finally decided to upgrade from the folding camper (sob - I luffs her and she's sitting on the drive looking sad) to a two berth caravan. Fellow caraverners, tell me it's going to be all right. I can't quite believe I'm spending all this money (still cheaper than a car and it's nicer than my house). Hints and tips most welcome.

Enjoy it! I say we go camping but we always go in our caravan. I feel the tension disappear when we go away Grin
Have you got any trips planned?

Find a nice campsite near by for your first outing! We went 30mins away, had a lovely weekend and where adopted by the lovely site warden who showed us all sorts of hints and tips. We've had the caravan for a year and a half now and are off to France in a few weeks! We love it, feels liwkluxury compared to camping but would probably go for a camper van if we could afford it as towing is a bitch

We pick it up in three weeks so am trying to find somewhere local for a night so I can sort her out.

Can I ask a stupid question. Because our folding camper cupboards are minimal, anythink like our perspex glasses (nothing glass), pand and bottles such as vinegar, olive oil, gin...are sort of wedged in so don't move. Now I've got bigger cupboards, how do I stop these things flying about? The tumblers are very light. Is it ok to put them in a cupboard on a non slip mat thingy and hope they don't fly around or should I wedge everything in one or two cupboards and sort in out when I get there.

Also, under front seat (ie, our bed) lockers, where am likely to store duvets and pillows during the day, should I line this with breathable plastic? Or just shove them in big laundry style ikea type bags?

Stupidly excited but also a bit wtf have we done as well.
