Hello.

I'm planning on a quick dash into Dorset this week. Is there any point looking for a fire-friendly site or are they all putting a stop to them this summer as it's tinderbox dry?

Our cubs and scouts near swanage have been told no fires. Don't know whether it's a local rule or more widespread. Not surprised.

No. I remember the heath fires in the 80's or 90's.

Just back from Oxfordshire: fires in their Well build fire pits were allowed.

Burnbake in Corfe Castle are not allowing fires at the moment.

www.whitehorsecampsite.co.uk is our Dorset site of choice and their site hasn't changed to say no fires. They're only wee though.

Have an ace time!
