Enjoy yourself op. We're staying at Duinrell Holland in late August but I'd like to go on a few camping trips in the UK if the weather holds. I've found a nice campsite in cambridgshire but I'm worried about pitching the tent without dh who will be working

We’re flying to Boston at the end of July, for nearly 3 weeks camping on Cape Cod and around Boston, then a luxury week in an appartment in Brooklyn.

I’m beyond excited (although a little nervous about insects ... and currently weighing everything we need to take with us!)

profpoopsnagle · 15/07/2018 13:25

We're doing a France tour, Burgundy, Auvergne and the Loire.

We went to Normandy last year, had rather good weather and there were many interesting places to visit.

millimat · 15/07/2018 16:10

@profpoopsnagle which loire and auvergne site?
We're going to camping portland in Normandy.

We live in France and have a campervan for the first time this year... already en route. Genoa, Barcelona (friends apartment), Pampelona, St Jean de Luz near Biarritz, Bilbao, UK (visiting family and staying in Lee Valley Park to see hockey world cup, North Wales : Recommendations welcome!!!) Ireland to visit family and return to France. Looking for a recommendation South of Paris preferably a riverside campsite to break our journey between Cherbourg and home (near Geneva).

I am very excited!!!

blackteaplease · 15/07/2018 16:25

We are off to Paris for 3 nights then on to Montalivet for some beach time. Can't wait.

confusedandemployed · 15/07/2018 16:28

profpoopsnagle · 15/07/2018 17:04

We going to Ribeyre which I think was a recommendation from you, and L'Arada Parc, near to Sonzay. Both are new sites for us, but are quite different from each other.

fadingfast · 15/07/2018 18:00

Long weekend of 'proper' camping in Norfolk at the end of the month, followed by two weeks 'cheating' (Eurocamp) to France in August (Vendée region). Can't wait!

millimat · 15/07/2018 19:40

hillbilly · 16/07/2018 00:42

Hey Prof and Millimat we are also going to La Ribeyre thanks to recommendation on here. We were at les valades for a few years 2012-2015 and fancied a change. Can't wait! We leave next Sunday 😀

hillbilly · 16/07/2018 00:45

Happy camping everyone! I'm so excited - haven't been camping abroad for 3 years. I've been checking our big tent today and put our roof box on 😀
