want to go camping this bank holiday weekend near to home (liverpool)- it is possible??

as with it being so close to the weekend and most of the campsites need a deposit

there will be 2 adults and 2 kids - one is 2 and other is 8.

Shower and toilet cubicles is a must! plus dont mind a bit of commercial campsite or a bare-ish campsite!

What about Southport? The place with all the red Squirrels? There are campsites there but I don't know much about them. iirc, they had pretty good facilities but it is many many years since I have been there.

I think Formby is what I was thinking of. North Wales isn't too far from you either but I don't know any camping places there.
