Recommendations for a novice camper

We've just bought a lovely new camper van. DP and I very excited to try it out this weekend, got lots of plans for exploring Scotland, France, etc.
We have never really camped much before other than the occasional night. This weekend we are having a trial to see what we are likely to need and what will be useful. But I have two requests for recommendations - can anyone recommend a really good cool box? Our van doesn't have a fridge, we could fit one but would prefer a really good cool box, preferably an electric one as we do have a power supply and will be using electric hook up as much as we can.
Secondly - a really warm fleece. Something really toasty that I can wear when making an early morning toilet trip or for sitting outside in in the evenings (we are up north and most of our trips will be Scotland, Northumberland and the lakes).
If you have any other suggestions for essentials I would be most grateful.

Proper electric fridge is the best buy ever imo!! Was £100 from Go Outdoors.

Fleece schmeece. I bought this for camping (I really feel the cold) WOMENS JACKET

Alpkit very good for fleeces too (Mamalute is the heavy one) but sounds like you need a trip to Go Outdoors.

My favourite thing for early morning/late night toilet trips (and for going to/from the shower) is my Dryrobe. I bought it as I open water swim, but it is brilliant for camping as I curl up inside it during the evening, don't need to get dressed to go to the toilet block, and its pretty waterproof and all encompassing.

But for real warmth, you can't beat a down jacket

Thank you all for your advice. So last night we took van out for the first time. Lovely day yesterday up on Northumberland coast and found a brilliant campsite near Bamburgh that I would highly recommend if anyone interested in that area.
I was most grateful for my ugg boots! (Absolute essential for me from now on), warm fleece and lots of pairs of clean dry socks!
Took an ordinary cook bag so still on the hunt for a good plug in cool box.
