We’d like to head back to Italy this summer. Last year we stayed in Jesolo and went to Venice, but as we were there during the heatwave we spent a lot of time on the campsite rather than travelling around. We’d explored a bit of Germany and Austria on the way down so were happy to do not much!

This year we are only going to stop for one night on the way down and will be basing ourselves in one area for about 10 nights and stopping once on the return leg.

DCs preferred the pools / waterslides to the beach so would prefer a site with more than one basic pool. It would be nice to have the opportunity to do day trips and explore.

Tuscany area seems like a sensible option but open to suggestions.

Help please Smile

I'd definitely recommend Norcenni Girasole, we've been there several times. It's like a small village in the Tuscan hills, two different pool areas with slides, great restaurants and ice cream shop. There are loads of possibilities for day trips nearby - Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, Volterra and lots more.

I’ll check it out, thank you.

I sat for hours yesterday trawling through campsites. I fear we may have missed out on the good ones already - lots have no availability until late August.
