Any members of camping/caravan club here? Can you advise which one to choose, or whether it's worth the annual fees? We have a Motorhome and do a lot of touring, but have never joined a club. Have looked on the websites of the Caravan and Motorhome Club (used to be the Caravan Club) and the Camping and Caravan Club. Is the fiftyishpound annual subscription worth it's? Thanks for recommendations.

We are members of both. We joined one as saved the cost in RAC membership (discounted for members) and the other as they gave us 2 free nights at any site, so we chose an expensive one :)
We have some favourite sites with both clubs, so keep noth memberships up. Suggest you look at where you want to go and see who has the best in that area?
Both have lots of great certificated sites and do Temporary Holiday sites that are excellent value.
Caravan Club tends to have posher more formal sites with great facilities in great places. c&cc a bit more relaxed, and have the forest sites too.
That probably was no help!
(We also belong to ACSI, Camping Car Park (European clubs) and various forums for pub stops, stopover places etc. )

Thanks Milliways that's useful.
Is one better for Europe? We do spend quite a bit of time abroad, as well as shorter breaks in the UK.

We belong to camping and scramming club and we are not usually joiners if clubs, sites and staff have been helpful and welcoming. We also have an ACSI card for off season in Europe, our best saving was in Portugal where we saved €14 per night using the card.

The camping and caravan club are ace, I find the caravan club sites to be a bit 'serious' whereas the C&CC is much more relaxed and family friendly Smile

ACSI is well worth the Money if going out of season (France season is a little different to ours) but every site has a flat rate between 11 & 19 euros a night for pitch, electric, 2 adults (and a dog I believe?). the app is handy too, we have saved lots and it’s very cheap to join.
Camping Car Park is a prepayment card (top up as needed) for glorified aires, very cheap stopovers, but you can book in advance which is handy, or just go in for a few Euros to charge battery, empty & fill water etc. No annual fee, just top up online before you travel (or as you go)
Municipal campsites are brilliant in France.
