Campsite recommendation needed - within 2 hrs SW London, pref near coast

We're hoping to go on our first family camping trip the next bank hol. Would like a quiet campsite which is not too far from home (SW London) but which is perhaps on the coast or similar.

Any recommendations gratefully received!

West Witteringn near Chichester?
Lovely sandy beach with dunes.
There are a couple of sites there I believe, one large and one smaller.
Some friends have gone camping there this week-end,I'll let you know the details when they return unless someone else knows the sites.

Normans Bay, nr Pevensey, is great - right by the beach. Not too noisy even when full - but make sure you book!
