Help me find the perfect tent for 4 - budget £100ish

We bought the Deluxe family pack yesterday from Halfords but the sleeping pods at 150cm wide were just a bit too small for DH and I to sleep comfortably ie whoever slept on the inside ended up with the sloping bit of the tent in their face. Not a good look, especially in hot weather. So we've taken that back and are now looking for an alternative for the four of us.

From my research so far it seems as if the type of tent that would suit us best would be one that has a central living area with two sleeping pods at either side. There's one on Tesco Direct's website for £59.97 but it's out of stock. It seems good as one of the sleeping pods is bigger thatn the other so we could have that one and the kids could have the other. I can see the advantages too in buying a tent for say six, rather than four, so advice on that would be good too.

Anyway, if anyone can recommend a suitable tent for around £100 to a rusty camper, with any other features I haven't yet considered, then I'd be very grateful.

We have one similar to this , but I think our came from ALDI or somewhere like that. We have one five year old who sleeps in with us and we use the other end at the mo as a wardrobe/dressing room. As a graduate of tents you have to crawl into, this was somewhat of a revelation to me and i loved getting my chair in of an evening so we could have a proper sit down and a chat.

there are loads around like this...just do a bit of shopping arond. If you only plan on camping in sheltered valleys during summer, I don't think the brand name is that important.

Happy Camping....

Don't suppose I'm going to be much help because I don't know the exact website, but we bought ours from the internet. I'm sure it was about £60. It didn't take long to be delivered - only a matter of a couple of days.

Ours has a large sleeping pod at one end and a small one at the other, with a communal bit in the middle. Doesn't take long to put up either - really simple. I took 3 DD's camping to swanage on the first hot weekend we had recently and did it all by myself!
