Soulpad

Does anyone have one of these and could answer a few questions please? Smile

If you get the 5/6m one, is it too big for commercial campsites? Is there a ‘too big’ tent?

Does it ever just get absolutely soaked and leak?

Do you have seperate tents inside for sleeping? Ideally I’d get two.

And.... do you love it? Grin

Have you looked on ukcampsite? There are lots of reviews on there...

I have a 5m soulpad. I love it.

It's a large tent but I've never been turned away from a pitch, any larger would start to be a problem I think. We don't have inner tents, but we do have a lovely thick carpet and also a stove. I am comfy all the time!

I didn't love mine. It did leak a bit the first time we used it. Only used it one other time and it didn't leak that time. Just felt gloomy. Missed big windows.

I've got a 3m soulpad. I've used it for the last few years but I've just replaced it with a more conventional tunnel tent. I love it as a tent, it's so easy to pitch, it's rock solid in wind and it's never leaked.
If you could guarantee warm, dry weather where you would be spending lots of time outside it would be a perfect tent, but with typical UK summer weather where rain or midges drive you inside, it's not a great tent for sitting inside - no windows, no separate sleeping area (not in the 3m size).
To answer your question about size, I've seen several larger bell tents (not sure exact size) on sites where you just choose a space in the field rather than marked out pitches. They don't seem to take up much more space than the massive 8 man tunnel tents with extensions and wind breaks and gazebos set up around them.
