Why would you want a disposable tent? how random...it's not that much lighter than a normal tent and not a huge amount cheaper either...how weird!

That was my thought too, doesn't seem like its made of paper or anything that would be disposable

Yup festivals. They just put them up and then leave them there at the end. The ultimate throwaway society.

chirpygirl · 22/04/2007 22:25

But it just looks like a normal tent! And it has guy ropes and everything.

They should label it 'cheap tent that you can forget about packing away neatly and make us 8 quid when you come back for another one you lazy scrote'

MrsWho · 22/04/2007 22:31

so we could go round at the end of a festival and get tents?

OP posts:
BarefootDancer · 22/04/2007 22:33

Yes you could, but you might not want them after they have been festivaled in.

MrsWho · 22/04/2007 22:34

Yeah thats a point but what a waste

Ha! Why wait til the end of the festival?

Dh did security at Glasto a few years back, spent the whole time chasing tent thieves- apparently you could see them coz they just hel;d the tents abover their heads and ran.

So never ever take a decent tent to Glasto.

MrsWho · 23/04/2007 19:03

LOL so with the tent theives and tent swapping that goes on you don't come back with the same one?

LOL

IIRC the locals pick em up and sell them on.

Although it used to be the case (probably still is) that the rubbish collectors were sponsored for Oxfam so at least its a good deal.....
