Big tent recommendations

I've decided to upgrade my tent to something bigger and better but am somewhat overwhelmed by the choices available.

We currently have a very old Eurohike Windsor, which I've never been happy with. It was the only one available in an emergency situation.

I'm thinking of maybe an Outwell Vermont or something similar. We like space so would ideally like an 8 man tent. There's only 5 of us but 4 are adults and there's several dogs.

Anyone have a really big tent they're happy with?

Kalahari 10 from Go Outdoors .
Got the porch as an add on ..

Oops, I forgot to say that I think I'd prefer a tunnel type because it's easier to work out if the pitch size is enough. I get very stressed every time we go away worrying that the sticky out bits on the Windsor won't fit the designated pitch.

We have a Bear Lake 6 for me, Dh and the dog.

Plenty big enough for us and all the gear I haul.

Polycotton is beyond lovely.

We have a Berghaus Air. It is amazing, so much space and easy to put up (packing it away is always a bit interesting though - think full body rolling over it to get all the air out).

We have a Bearlake 6 too and I love it. We have had it for nearly 10 years and it’s still going strong.

Tough enough to withstand all weathers, and due to polycotton it’s lovely and cool when the sun does come out.

There’s 4 of us but plenty of room for more!

You are being very unreasonable in not telling us what the emergency situation was!
