Well that's it really. There's a group of us and we are stuck for inspiration. We need to spend less than £20 per night..and we live in South Hampshire (and don't want to travel for more than 2 hours to get there)

Any suggestions greatly appreciated

It looks very good indeed - just a question, the campsite looks very orderly in terms of tents being pitched in neat lines (we are used to more open fields) - did you find there was enough space for the children to play in front of the tents? (if you see what I mean)

it was tight side by side, but front and rear there was plenty of space. What i enjoyed was the fact it was orderly and open and the kids had to go quite far to go out of my sight. And they were very strict about the cars driving around camp. If I remember rightly there was a field very nearby where the kids could go and play ball games etc, but maybe wrong cos my kids didn't use it, they were a bit young

Try Rowlands Wait in Bere Regis. We went many years ago (and are going again soon); it had a children's playground, lots of space for games, hot showers, and a small shop IIRC. Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum, Maiden Castle, the beach (Lulworth, Durdle Door) all close by. Think it's about £13/night, with a small charge for children on top.

Sorry blondehelen but that film on that website qualifies for most boring advertising film EVER! We were crying with laughter! Thank you for posting
