River / water shoe recommendations?

We're off to the Ardeche soon (plus staying at a couple of sites with lakes on the way down/back up). Can anyone recommend some river/water shoes that are good? I bought some off Amazon previously and they just filled up with grit - maybe sandal type ones would be better? Anyone got any recommendations please?

For children or adults?

My kids and I have all worn Teva sandals for hiking / in the sea / rockpooling / beaching etc and they're pretty indestructible. We use them as achool shoes too, but not in UK.

The kids wear this sort of thing

Ours are from decathlon, wet suit type beach shoes, we were in the Ardeche last summer, it's gorgeous.

We're just north of the Ardeche just now and my kids have spent most of the last 10 days in the river in their decathlon water shoes which are still intact

For going into rivers/lakes, we have some of the decathlon ones these

The ankle cuff on these stops gritty stuff getting in. They re £17. We had £5 Asda cheapies before and it meant dd had hurt feet from grit so I replaced them with these which are brilliant.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Looking for shoes for children and adults (as I'm a wuss).

The decathlon ones look very much like the ones I had before - and threw away as they were useless and just filled up with grit. Teva sandles would be perfect - but I might have to hunt around and see if I can find a bargain as they probably wouldn't get much use the rest of the year (DD's school won't allow children to wear open toe sandals Hmm so they definitely couldn't be used as school shoes.

Wetsuit boots it is if I can't find any Teva style bargains.

I wear Keen closed toes for hiking. Brilliant for river walking too as they are so non slip. Although expensive, they last.
