Campsite recommendations - near Rye or Brighton

Looking for recommendations as I've traveled the internet and can't seem to make a decision. Fancy being near Rye or Brighton for the Aug bank hol wknd. Just camping one or two nights.
Criteria are small (ish) site with electric hook ups as we will have 3 year old and 10 month old with us. Play ground on site a plus but not a must and nice and rural would be good (not near main road etc)

Any ideas or personal recommendations?

Thank you!

Depends what you mean by near. Blacklands Farm, Henfield is about 12miles from Brighton. Elec hookup and a play area for kids.

Heh, I was going to say Blacklands. Not camped there but used to buy hay there so it's definitely rural!

Alfriston is mid way between Brighton and Rye.

Heaven Farm is where I usually take the DC when we camp in that area. They love it - free-roaming chickens, a nature trail through ancient woodland with wallabies, the Greenwich meridian and carp ponds, ice cream and a farm shop on site and it's really cheap :)

Wowo is good but I like a tiny one in Pett called Freshwinds. In its own little valley with a woodland. Next to a forest. Ten minutes from Winchelsea Beach
