UK campsite within 4 hours drive of London for August

Can anyone recommend a nice campsite that is not more than 4 hours drive from London (accounting for traffic getting out of London)? I'd like to book 5-7 days for myself and my two kids mid August. I prefer smaller campsites, ideally with access or very close to water - beach/lake/river/pool and stuff for the kids to do nearby (they are 10 and almost 7). A shop and pub within walking distance would be good too. Not Dorset as we are going there in July. I'd love to go to the Lake District but it's just too far in the car for the kids who get car sick. Really appreciate any recommendations you can give!

Hurley Riverside Park. We've been twice. Clue is in the name Grin Very small shop on site but village amenities are within walking distance and a chip van comes on Fridays.

Was going to suggest Dorset...!! There's lots of different areas in Dorset ;)

I love this place. It's got a lake you can swim in, watersports, lovely showers and a super shop and newly refurbed bar on site. In Witney near Oxford - not far off m40.

www.cobbshillfarm.co.uk It is a lovely little campsite just outside Bexhill. You have Bexhill and Hastings very close by for the seaside and then Battle not far away if you fancy a bit of history.
