Shelter?

Ok so it's not really camping! I'm looking for something to provide shade and shelter from rain when pup and I attend dog shows. I have to be able to carry it from the car and put it up and down pretty rapidly by myself (can't leave dog in car)
Any ideas. So far I've seen:
Fishing brollies. Not much shelter but light and cheaper.
Gazebo. Difficult to put up myself?
Inflatable shelters. Expensive and heavy.
Argh! I need a motorhome! Confused

You want a sports pop up pod.

this sort of thing

Wolfiefan · 19/05/2017 20:26

They look great but I need something bigger. Pup is an Irish Wolfhound so not a chance we would fit in one of those! Grin

Wolfiefan · 19/05/2017 20:34

I've got a gazebo that I put up and down by myself. Got it from a garden centre, I think they were calling it a pop up gazebo. It's not really pop-up, but the legs are already fitted and just need extended and clicked into place. The poles for the roof are all attached and concertina in and out. The thing is to get one that doesn't need you to connect poles. It has its own carry case and is light and easy to carry about.

Wondermoomin · 19/05/2017 22:48

Sorry should also add that it was only about £60 or so, would definitely recommend but I have no idea as to brand/model etc

Wolfiefan · 19/05/2017 22:48

Thanks wonder. Been looking on Amazon. (Live rurally). But hard to figure out what would work.

harderandharder2breathe · 20/05/2017 12:47

No advice but very gorgeous pupper you have!

Wolfiefan · 20/05/2017 12:49

Looks good. Might be too warm on a hot day. Fussy? Me? Pup deserves the best! Grin

I just got one of these for camping. Easy to put up and packs down small m.blacks.co.uk/product/blue-eurohike-universal-tarp-shelter/133172/

winewolfhowls · 20/05/2017 22:46

That's a gorgeous dog, looks a real character

Wolfiefan · 20/05/2017 22:48

She is a complete character!!
Tarp was on my list. Just worried about getting tangled in the guys!
Found a great pop up (literally) gazebo. Quest 4. But with 2 solid sides it is £200!

Look on the OLPRO site. Pop up 'beach hut ' £43. Big, waterproof, big door. My only concern is I can't see guy lines / pegging points in case it was v windy. But it must be pegged to the ground so should be ok. Looks just the thing!
