Beautiful days questions

Hello, we're just booked for beautiful days with ten and seven year old. Dp now wondering whether we need a smaller tent for it. We have an outwell amarillo 6 and it's a bit of a beast. It's our first festival with the kids, previously we did Glastonbury in a an ancient two man thing.

So do I need to go tent shopping???

Carrying a big tent from your car to csmpsite? .

Although it's called 'Beautiful Days' it seems to rain there every year! So it's worth having a tent that's big enough if you end up hanging around in it during the day. Have fun :-)

Loads of people seem to have big tents at festivals these days. There's enough room for them at BD. And I agree with pp that it always seems to rain there. I would take your 6 berth.

The family camping field seems to be near the car parks but fair point about transport of the tent.A trolley is cheaper than a new tent though :) I'm in two minds still I can't figure out how all four of us would fare in a typical four /five person "festival" tent and the hydrostatic head ratings of the cheaper ones are useless.I hate the thought of being squashed and wet! And I hate the thought of forking out for a decent smaller tent. DP very worried about us arriving and not having space to pitch though. We're planning to arrive Thursday though.
