Tips for Deer Shed

We've booked to go to Deer Shed for the first time this July and although we've been to a couple of family festivals before I was just wondering if anyone had specific tips for this one - eg best place to camp, is there a programme and do we need to book activities in advance? Any tips gratefully received Smile

The campsite is pretty small so it doesn't really matter where you camp, you won't be far from the entrance. A lot of the activities have sign up sheets so I'd recommend getting into the science tent early and signing up to all of the activities that you want to do for the weekend. My tip would be to get there early on the Friday because you have to exchange your tickets for wristbands and the queue gets bigger the later your there! Last year we were in and camped up by 1pm and there was no queue so strolled straight in.

Thank you, that's really helpful. Are there lots of loos round the site?

Yes, there long rows of toilets on the campsite and plenty in the festival site.
