Dutch ovens (for COOKING ok?)

And not the other sort, cos that wouldn't make quite such a lovely birthday gift.

So those of you who love yours, which brand do you have? I made the mistake of reading reviews of the Ronnie Sunshine ones, which are mainly positive but it seems quality control isn't up to scratch, and Lodge ovens are eye-wateringly expensive. Any recommendations?

I'd like it for camping, but also using in/over a firebowl in the garden (or rather I'm hoping DH will, it's a present for him, sort of...).

Ours is a Lodge one but we bought it years ago when we lived in the US.

We don't actually use it when camping because we are not around the tent that much and when we get back we are usually starving. We have a fire pit hole in the ground in our orchard and use it at home.

A Ronnie Sunshines one will be fine, my sister has one.

Thanks for that Barchester, shall look again at Ronnie Sunshines.
(Envy at orchard with fire pit! One day...)
