Any tips or tricks on good ways to adapt caravan bunk bed/dinnete into a safe bed for 6mo old?

We used a travel cot, but it was techmically a double bed area so there was room. Not sure how you would do it on a single. Wen she was smaller she just slept with me.
Not sure if that is of any help!

moses basket with the handles tied together and a strap round the bunk and basket is what my friends used to sleep their 8m/o in on the bunks in the camper van lift up roof.

We used a bed guard down the side of the bottom bunk when our dd's were small, I think it was the Tomy/First Steps one that folded down for access. Plus put them in a baby sleeping bag (baby gro type)& if cold extra blankets on top with a sheet underneath.

We had an accident with one of ours falling out of a bunk bed when small and badly scarring his face so dd who is the youngest sleeps on the floor. Have you thought about buying a ready bed to use with the sleeping bag?

we've found a travel cot which will fit on the bunk bed, just need some way to stop it falling off, a bed guard maybe?

THe Samsonite pop up travel cot is only 62 deep, so it'll fit on the bunk no problem.

And don't worry slalomsuki, he'll be on the bottom one, its only a foot or so off the floor.
