I am an old hand at camping, as far as equipment goes I know my stuff. It's the clothes and towels packing that has gone a bit wrong in the last few years. One year not enough, ended up buying more fleeces at the "only shop in the village". Last year way too much, it didn't all get used, and took up too much space in the car and in the tent.
So please tell me how much to take this year! The brief:
2 adults. Ds aged 9, dd aged 12.
14 days.
Camping (def not glamping). Muddy field, stream to fall in multiple times per day.
Nearest launderette 8 miles away, and the dryers are crap.
Beach.
Walking, cycling, running.
A few trips where we need to scrub up a bit, eg cinema, museum.
Day time temp last year ranged from 12 - 22 deg.
Cold at night, need a fleece & socks on top of pjs.
Any suggestions re how much clothing / towels to take gratefully accepted, especially as I don't normally post given my track record as an accidental thread-killer! Thanks .
