Lake Garda s/c: SERIOUS bed linen problem....help!

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help...

I've booked a week at Camping Bella Italia to stay in a mobile home. We've been quoted £29 to hire bed linen, and they say that no duvets are included?!? Can this be right? It seems an awful lot to pay for a bedsheet and pillowcase (it's one double and one single set, £17 and £12). We're going in the first week of September and I don't want to be freezing at night. We're flying too, so they can't seriously expect us to take duvets/sleeping bags on the plane?!

Could they mean they supply blankets rather than duvets or perhaps duvets are taken as read and would be supplied no matter whether you'd book the bedlinen itself or not ? tbh it will still be pretty warm in September.Email the site direct perhaps for clarification .

We've done similar stays in UK and France and have always had duvets or blankets provided as standard kit. Can you contact the site/tour operator?

Tamz77 · 23/01/2007 14:40

Have tried phoning but can't get through to the woman who made my original booking and the two others I've spoken to have been no help, one didn't know at all what was included and one said it was just a blanket ie one blanket each, which is why I don't think it's sufficient, for N.Italy at night in September in a mobile home, and also why I think the cost is astonishing.

This is Leisure Direction ie direct sales not a cosy coverall firm like Siblu or Canvas etc who look after you, and contact number is 0871 so costs me loads to keep phoning!

Thanks for help anyway )

I've just had a look at your holiday - looks lovely by the wa and in the little box that pops up when you look at the Accomodation it says

'Blankets and pillows are provided, and guests must bring their own bedlinen'

Does that help?

I did a search for your approx holiday date, entered some details and your site popped up - it was there that the quote came from about the blankets, not from the main pages.

As far as i know, LD holidays are with the main operators - when we booked with them it was Keycamp. If you get a friendly operator they may tell you which company it is.

Thanks so much esp Lucycat, I think I'll save myself thirty quid and take my own! Bit of a panic about being cold at night I have been there done that and I don't fancy it again! I guess the blankets will be sufficient though )

Glad to have helped

looks lovely, the Italian lakes are gorgeous and in Sept especially so

We are going to lake Garda in April, I have decided if it is too cold we will buy duvets from the local market an donate them to the reps when we leave (if they are nice ).
