hot water bottles

I've seen a few people mention hot water bottles to help stay warm. Do they last the night? Or do they get a bit cold and un comfy? Just trying to work out if we should get some.

They are brilliant at taking the cold of your bed. I love mine.
I sometimes make one earlier in the evening and stick it up my jumper so I can sit out longer.
