Gotta be proper hot - not hit and miss hot of the Loire Valley and the Dorgdogne (am I bitter, yes well maybe a little...)

So prepared to go all the way down Smile

Campsite with statics, fab pool with slides, some entertainment is nice, don't really need kids clubs though, and preferably within walking of a town.

I am starting my annual search today so if anyone has any tips I would really grateful!

No water slides but a fab place to stay is La Cigale. Ares. Arcachon basin. We love it.

I'm joining for recommendations too. We're debating northern Spain as well.

Me too. Interested, especially if we can find one that's proper hot! Also thinking about northern Spain but the 'green coast' near Santander makes me think lots of rain! Might be fun to explore though.

We went to Les valades in the dordogne in August this year. Also, camping le remondeau on the l'île de ré. I liked both and am happy to add further info. Both were a bit hit and miss with weather, but the beach on the île de ré was fab.

Can I join in too? Have been to Les valades for the last 3 years and loved it but weather very iffy. I actually would not mind a site with water slides this time either. The kids would def love it! Although the lake at Les valades was what made it so special.

Thinking coastal too - Oleron or ile de re poss?
