It's gone midnight and I can't sleep because I'm too excited about going camping. I've written an epic list. Planned some essential last minute purchases. I've even been plotting the arrangement of the furniture in the tent.

I've clearly lost the plot completely. But I know you lot will understand

Bunting. Make sure you have bunting.

Bugger the bunting, you need solar lights to a) see your way back from the toilets in the dark and b) to piss off your neighbours .

Oh, and a giant flag to mark your territory.

I plan what I will pack.
The meals we will eat. (So what food to take and what to buy when away and from where)
How I will arrange furniture once set up.
Days out when we get there.
Toys for the kids.

Ummm. May be overthinking this!

I plan all the stuff Wolfie does too. I enjoy the planning (which tends to start right after Christmas) almost as much as the actual camping

Ok so the car has started making a horrible noise so it's gone into the garage and my long day of meticulous tetris-style packing has been screwed. But never mind. I have a new funky dustpan and brush, citronella and lavender candles, the dry food is packed, meals mostly planned ...

It's our anniversary on Wednesday so I need to pack a bottle of fizz too. Excited!

Don't s'pose any of you kind ladies want to post your lists. I'm waaaaay behind on the packing - leaving Thursday - and I've lost my battered notebook camping bible
