4 or 5m bell tent?

I would like some advice from those who own a bell tent, please. We are quite keen to get a tent, been to a tent show and felt the canvas bell tents were much more comfortable and inviting than your average tunnel tent. We are 2 adults and a nearly 3 yr old, potential for a second child in the next couple of years.
The 4m bell tent felt pretty roomy and the 5m almost too big, but from reading various reviews and blogs etc most say to go for bigger, so anyone with experience which would you recommend? TIA

2 adults and 2 children, 11 and 8. A 4m bell tent works for us.

I liked having lots of space but sometimes it's a question of budget. You might also want to consider whether you are likely to want to put an inner in it - quite a lot of people find the 5m is a lot colder at night than a 4m

Thank you for the input. No, I don't really like the restriction of the inner, so would rather not have one. The price difference between the 2 is not that much, but I think I am veering towards the 4m. Thanks for the blog recommendation, I've not seen that one.

Two adults plus two under six and a dog., we have a 5m, you could get buy on a 4m but the extra space is amazing.

Thank you Tapas. Anyone bought from Bellbiz? They do a 4.5m, which means you can fit a double mattress between the pole and wall.

5m all the way. So much more room than the 4m, a lot more than expected. We are family of 5
